Cheryl Hess
Cheryl Hess served as Vice President – Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Thoratec Corporation from 1983 to 2001. Prior to joining Thoratec, Ms. Hess was a manager with the public accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where she specialized in audit and financial advisory services for entrepreneurial, rapid growth, high technology companies. Ms. Hess was responsible for the direction of all financial management, control and reporting activities for Thoratec, as well as certain administrative and operational activities. Ms. Hess holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. Ms. Hess is a Certified Public Accountant.
